State Route 96 East of Happy Camp
REDDING – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans District 2) and Stimpel-Wiebelhaus Associates have begun emergency slip out repairs on State Route 96, approximately 5 miles east of Happy Camp, in Siskiyou County. Work addressing the slip out area includes pavement repairs and drilling for geotechnical investigations and permanent restoration.
Motorists should currently plan for 24/7 one-way traffic control with 5-minute delays in the area. Motorists are urged to slow down and drive carefully in and around construction areas, follow speed limit reductions in place, and allot extra time for delays. This area is subject to change at any time due to inclement weather, operations, or continued activity.
Construction projects are subject to changes without prior notice.
