Diana Rae Van Ness passed away January 17, 2025 in Shady Cove, Oregon with her cherished husband, Don Van Ness, by her side. They were married for 21 years. Diana was born on September 16, 1940 in Etna, CA to Janet Brandsma and Charles Gordon (Bud) Munson.

Diana was a devoted mother to her children, Debra Pearson of Texas and Duane Beers of Shady Cove, Oregon. Diane loved her grandchildren—Trista Beers, BJ Beers, Kali Lopez (Oscar), Alyssa Beers, Robert Werder, Jeffery Werder, and Bryan Werder (Stephany, Abais, Stella)—and her great-grandchildren Paisley and Easton Lopez, Robert and Mark Werder. Diana was preceded in death by her mother and father, stepdad Robert (Bob) Davis, her deceased husband Charles Robert (Bob) Beers her beloved siblings John “Butch” Munson, Willie Munson, and Judy Dickinson.

Diana dedicated many years to Scott Valley Bank where she was admired for her loyalty and strong work ethics. She retired after many years of faithful service.

Shortly thereafter, Diana and Don were married and moved on to manage storage units in Redding and Springfield until 2019 when they retired together. After a brief stay in Florence, they moved to Shady Cove to be close to family.

Diana developed lifelong friends anywhere she went and often gathered with the girls for fun and fellowship. Her genuine smile brightened up a room. She radiated kindness, warmth, loyalty, and love to everyone she met. She treasured natures beauty, especially freshly bloomed flowers. Diana was renowned for her stunningly beautiful yards that showcased her talent. Diana was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her memory will forever be a source of inspiration to those her life touched.

Diana was a woman of deep faith who wanted everyone to know and trust in her Lord Jesus and Savior as she did. Her faith was her single most valued possession.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring in Etna, CA.
