Siskiyou Golden Fair Announces “100 Years Past, Always a Blast!” Paint the Fair Contest

The 10th DAA Board of Directors has selected the theme for the 2025 Siskiyou Golden Fair, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the fairground at 1712 Fairlane Road in Yreka. The winning theme, “100 Years Past, Always a Blast!” submitted by Bruce Bishop, will set the stage for this historic celebration.

With the theme selected, the annual Paint the Fair contest is now open for artists to create the official artwork that will promote the 2025 fair. “Fair planning always starts with the theme contest, and the board and staff are always excited to review and pick the new theme each year,” says CEO Cliff Munson. “It sets the whole fair in motion.”

Paint the Fair Contest Details

It will begin with an email entry to the fair
office at [email protected] starting on January 15 th

Contest Timeline:

• Entry submission period: January 15th – March 14th, 2025 (5:00 PM)
• Artwork submission deadline: March 17th, 2025 (5:00 PM)
• Prize: $500.00 for the winning artwork
  *it becomes the property of the 10th DAA.

Contest Requirements:

• Artists must email intent to participate to [email protected]
• Design must incorporate the theme “100 Years Past, Always a Blast!”
• Artwork must be original – no tracing or copying
• Preferred size: approximately 18″ wide by 24″ tall (variations accepted)
• All entries require initial email registration
• Physical artwork must be delivered to the fair office by the deadline

The winning artwork will become the property of the 10th DAA and will be used to promote this historic centennial celebration.
