the Obituary of Francis Lenoard Christ III

Francis Lenoard Christ III, 78, passed away peacefully on the morning of November 12, 2024 in Yreka, California. Frank was the eldest of five sons born to Frank and Delta Christ on June 8, 1946. He grew up in Sausalito, CA and graduated from Tamalpais High School in 1964. Shortly after he graduated from high school, he was drafted into the military. He served in the Army’s 101st Airborne Infantry Division. After completing his time in the military, he married Diane. She was his childhood friend and they reconnected in their late teens/early twenties. Frank and Diane had two living children, a son and daughter. Unfortunately, they lost a daughter at birth. Their family lived in Rohnert Park, California until they moved to Etna. CA in 1983. He made Etna his home for the rest of his life. 

Frank had many interests in life. In his earlier years, he and his brother Dennis started an upholstery business. He also worked as a Paramedic/Firefighter and then was promoted to Battalion Chief for the Palo Alto Fire Department. After moving to Etna, he logged, gold mined and worked for the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department as a Correctional Officer. His passion was construction. He attained his contractors license and started his own business building homes. He worked as a contractor until Parkinson’s Disease diminished his ability to do the things that he loved.
