Siskiyou County Raises Over $600,000 in Giving Tuesday Campaign

In a remarkable display of community generosity, Siskiyou County organizations raised more than $600,000 during this year’s Giving Tuesday campaign, with the Siskiyou Land Trust leading the charge by collecting $100,999 from 190 donors.

The annual giving event saw strong support for environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and social services. The Mount Shasta Museum Association secured the second-highest total with $78,192, while organizations addressing food insecurity—Siskiyou Food Assistance and Siskiyou Community Food Bank—collectively raised over $93,000.

Animal welfare organizations also received substantial support, with Rescue Ranch and Siskiyou Humane Society together collecting more than $60,000 from nearly 400 donors. Youth-focused initiatives garnered significant attention, with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta raising $35,835.

The campaign highlighted the diversity of Siskiyou County’s nonprofit landscape, with 56 organizations participating, ranging from environmental groups like the Mount Shasta Trail Association to cultural institutions such as the McCloud Heritage Junction Museum.

Small organizations also made notable impacts, with grassroots groups like STAR (Siskiyou Trap, Alter and Release) and local resource centers across communities including Dunsmuir, Weed, and Yreka demonstrating the county’s commitment to addressing needs at every level.

The campaign’s success underscores the strong philanthropic spirit in Siskiyou County, with organizations averaging $11,000 in donations and many securing support from dozens of individual donors.
