Each year, thanks to generous (mostly local) donations from individuals, businesses, churches, and organizations, FOCUS continues a longstanding tradition of preparing Holiday Dinner Boxes containing the ingredients for a bountiful Thanksgiving family feast and more for eligible individuals and families in the Scott Valley and Salmon River Communities. The number of families needing assistance has increased substantially over the years along with the cost of food. Last year, over 200 households were served. This year, Scott Valley Focus, will be offering only the Thanksgiving Dinner Boxes and expanding the “Presents under the Tree” program for Christmas. Please mark your calendars and share the registration locations and times with families and individuals who could use the help this Thanksgiving. If you are unable to register in person, please call 530-467-5548 and leave a message. A volunteer will call to accommodate your special needs.

where in Salmon River is the pick up point for the Thanksgiving food box? I guess I’ll plan on picking mine up in Greenview at Valley Oaks Community Center on Monday between 12 & 2pm?
