Elizabeth A. “Betty” Taylor passed away on July 18, 2024 in Yreka. She was 98 years old.
Betty was born on August 29, 1925 in Pasadena to Mayhew and Betty Davis. She spent most of her life in Siskiyou County, graduating from Mount Shasta High School. In 1973, she and her family moved to Yreka. Betty was an avid seamstress, and won many awards with projects that she entered at the Siskiyou Golden Fair. When she wasn’t sewing, she would be found at home gardening.
Betty leaves behind her husband of 67 years, L.E. “Bud” Taylor; her children, Judy Cumming of Lake Shastina , Nanci Hamilton (Mike) of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Larry Taylor of Colusa, and Sarah Taillon of Cottonwood; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
No services will be held. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorial contributions may be made to Madrone Hospice, 255 Collier Circle, Yreka, CA 96097.
