Beverly Kay Garner Obituary
75-year-old Montague resident, Beverly Kay Garner, passed away on March 25, 2024, after numerous and long bouts with cancer.
Beverly was born on February 13, 1949, in El Dorado, Kansas. She married Billy Garner in 1983, and the couple remained married until his passing in 2016. Beverly worked in retail for about 20 years, eventually becoming a supervisor at Wal-Mart in Yreka. She enjoyed painting and drawing, growing both vegetables and flowers – especially sunflowers. She was also an avid animal lover. Buffy dog, Rose, and Myla had a special place in her heart. Beverly was strong willed, loving, and an intelligent woman about life and living. If she didn’t know something she would research to educate herself.
Most importantly, Beverly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Any time spent with them was time that she cherished. She was an amazing mother and grandmother. Making memories with trips in the motor home with her husband, and family throughout the years. Even beyond her family, Beverly was giving, and would do anything for those in need. Her selflessness and kindness will be missed!
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Billy Garner; by her stepson, Tommy Garner; and by her parents Charles and Buella Guy and brother, Richard Guy. She is survived by her children Alisa Fraser, Butch McGavran, Robert “Mack” McGavran and stepson Todd Garner; her siblings, Kenneth Guy, Charlotte Hubble, and Rita Guy; and by 7 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
