Obituary of Cyndi Heppner Barger

April 15,1953 – January 20,2024

With sadness we announce the passing of Cyndi Heppner Barger. Beloved daughter ,wife, sister, cousin, aunt and friend.

Cyndi bravely battled cancer for several years, succumbing on January 20,2024 at home in Yreka CA.
Cyndi loved her family, friends and doggies more than anything. To be her friend was to be a friend for life.

She was always up for a road trip an adventure and anything fun.

Cyndi was born in San Francisco April 15,1953 the first child of George and Mary Heppner. The family moved to Scott Valley when she was a teenager and she graduated from Fort Jones High School in 1971. She was a cheerleader a homecoming queen and an editor of the yearbook. Cyndi attended COS earned an AA and became a legal secretary, working for Attorneys in southern California and Yreka. She worked for the Siskiyou County Sheriff Office as a dispatcher/jailer. Cyndi also worked at Siskiyou County Superior Court. She ended her working career retiring from Siskiyou Telephone in 2016. Cyndi and her husband Clarence spent a couple years living in Guatemala. Missing family and friends they returned to the US.

Cyndi will be greatly missed by all who have been lucky to be part of her life.

She is survived by husband of 16 years Clarence Barger III of Yreka CA. Mother Mary Heppner, resident of Grenada Gardens Assisted Living Grenada CA. Sister Kathye Banks, Fort Jones CA. Brother Kenny Heppner, Newport OR. Nephews Toby (Mindy) Banks, Spirit Lake ID. Lance (Jaime)Banks, Ashland OR. Nieces Moriah Heppner, Newport OR. Jessie (Travis) Deutschman, Grants Pass OR. Great nieces Darby and Piper Banks. Great nephews Wyatt Morford, Reace and Bryce Deutschman. Also surviving an Aunt Norma Gifford, Antigua Guatemala and numerous cousins and dear friends.

A memorial will be held at Fort Jones Cemetery on February 24,2024 at 3pm. Reception following at the
Fort Jones Community Hall.
