Fatal Logging Truck Rollover on U.S. 97

On Wednesday, Jaunuary 24, 2024, at approximately 0827 hours, during hours daylight. The logging truck was traveling southbound on U.S. 97 north of W. Ball Mountian Rd. in a Kenworth log truck at approx. 55 mph. Traveling on a wet roadway with temps were above freezing. The truck drifted on the level and strait section of roadway headed south, traveling through a dirt irrigation ditch. Running into a plowed field where the truck overturned landing on its left side. The driver sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
