Bowling balls rolled as pins tumbled out at Cedar Lanes Bowling Alley last night in Weed, California as the Weed Chamber of Commerce showcased their new chamber website. Executive Director, Richard Dinges, showcased the sites amenities. The website will provide each chamber member with their own page and opportunity to promote and sell their product on the chamber’s site. Within the site there will be different pricing tiers to accommodate each business-marketing budget.
Discover Siskiyou helped with the layout of the site in addition to creative attributes to get tourist and locals to visit. The site provides a one, two and three day itinerary for tourists as well as local job listings. “The site will be launching in the next two week.” Dinges says.
Dinges and fellow board members Dannie (Secretary), Marie (Treasurer), and Patc Dawson (Director) (Showcased bellow) know the importance of a chamber and work hard throughout the year to bring creative events to their town. The Chamber showcases over eight events throughout the year bringing in 500-2500 tourists and county locals to the businesses of Weed.
Their next event, “The Chinese Auction” will be taking place on March 18th at “Sons of Italy” catered by Mt Shasta’s Supermarket. There will be great prizes with a rotating auction.
Stay tuned for future events such as there annual “420 Event,” “Steampunk Festival,” “Bikes, Beers and Brats,” “Weed Carnevale,” “Rollin-in-Weed Car and Bike Show,” “Trunk or Treat” and “Olde Fashioned Christmas.” Information on upcoming events with dates and times will be listed on the new website.
With a 40% increase in new chamber members this year, businesses are investing in the Weed Chamber of Commerce from proof that the chamber serves in the town’s commerce.
