Winter Magic in Mt. Shasta

The Mt. Shasta Winter Magic parade drew tons of families to Mt.Shasta Blvd on Saturday night. There were many costumed characters that visited with the children along with Santa who flipped the switch to light up the holiday tree in front of City Hall.

Participating in this year’s parade in its 5th year, were the Mt. Shasta City Police Department, Mt. Shasta Sisson Museum, Montague Junior Rodeo Royalty, Cal Fire, Shasta Photography, SW Maintenance, All Trade services, Mt. Shasta Ambulance, Christmas Siren of Starbucks, Mike and Tony’s Fire Truck, Mt. Shasta Ski Park, Jack Skellington, UTV Takeover, Banner Bank, Ramshaw’s Magic of Frozen and Reindeer Laser Light Show, Solano’s White Christmas Charlie Brown, and Santa riding on the Mt. Shasta Fire Department’s Engine 0.

Local businesses donated prizes to be raffled off. Other sponsors include Mt. Shasta Animal Hospital, Dignity Health, Banner Bank, Mechanics Bank, Mt. Shasta Pepsi, and Sports and Spirits.

The local Boy Scouts are selling Christmas trees on Lake Blvd.

On December 17th, Mt. Shasta Fire Department will be bringing Santa and his sleigh of reindeer around Mt. Shasta to about 45 designated stops in town.

The Mt. Shasta Winter Magic was started about 5 years ago with the parade and fire pits up and down Mt. Shasta Blvd. by the Brett Anthers family.
