There are two new inspiring news reporters in south Siskiyou County.

Sequoia Carr and Willow Nordell, both nine years old and attending the 3rd grade at Golden Eagle Charter School have decided a few weeks ago during a lull in the class that their school should have a newspaper.
This weekly single page (to start) newspaper will have a comic strip, announcements of upcoming events in the school, and “tell what we did in Physical Education (P.E.).” They will be getting information from the teachers and will be drawing pictures as well. They have 2 volunteers helping. The first two weeks have been so successful, they are now charging 5 cents a copy.
This is the school’s first newspaper.
