Siskiyou County Fire Chiefs Association Honors Dedicated Volunteers at Annual Awards Banquet

YREKA, CAย – The Siskiyou County Fire Chiefs Association held its annual awards banquet, a heartfelt celebration dedicated to the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of the county’s volunteer firefighters and community supporters. The evening served as a platform to recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond in service to their local fire departments and the wider community.

The event, which featured a delightful dinner catered by Raymondโ€™s Catering, brought together fire chiefs, volunteer firefighters, their families, and community members to acknowledge the vital role volunteers play in ensuring the safety and well-being of Siskiyou County.

A presentation of awards to several outstanding individuals from various fire departments across the county. The following individuals were recognized for their exceptional contributions:

  • Brad Abildgaardย of the Yreka Fire Department
  • Wyatt Carsonย of the Weed Fire Department
  • Charles Evansย of the Salmon River Fire Department
  • Rob Jacksonย of the South Yreka Fire Department
  • Richard Harrisonย of the McCloud Fire Department
  • Ben McAuliffeย of the Klamath River Fire Department
  • Larry Hicksย of the Etna Fire Department

In addition to honoring the dedicated firefighters, the Association also recognized a remarkable individual for their outstanding community support.ย Liz Bowlesย of the South Yreka Fire Department was named theย South Yreka Fire Citizen of the Year.
