The publisher rose up, mopped his brow, and surveyed the week’s harvest. Readers, behold the parable of the parking lots — for the troubled in Siskiyou this week were gathered not in dens of iniquity but in the fellowship halls of American commerce. One was taken at the Dollar General, one at the Taco Bell, one loitering among the carts at the Walmart, and one — Lord have mercy — was hauled in for laying hands on the standing timber at the very doorstep of the Highway Patrol office. If you are going to trespass against the trees, beloved, do not do it where the law parks its cruisers. The cup ran over with the merely intoxicated, the publicly disorderly, and the man who, asked his name, reached for a borrowed one. To them the message is gentle: show up to court, leave your neighbor’s pickup and your neighbor’s pine tree be, and walk out the door with a clean conscience and a sober Tuesday ahead. Amen, and mind the off-ramp.
ARMSTRONG, Anthony J., 41, of Fort Jones, was booked June 15 by the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office on two felony bench warrants for failure to appear, with bail set at $20,000 on each. He was held at the jail sallyport. Court date June 30.
BOYER, Shauna P., 40, of Yreka, was arrested June 17 by CHP Yreka on Harry Cash Road and booked on misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or more, and possession of a controlled substance. Court date Aug. 11. Released the same day.
CARL, Jacob A., 28, of Yreka, was arrested June 16 by Yreka Police in the 1200 block of South Main on a felony probation violation, two felony and misdemeanor bench warrants, two misdemeanor failure-to-appear counts, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail on the warrants ran as high as $50,000. Court date June 18. Released June 17.
CHAVEZ, Antonio C., 26, of Macdoel, was arrested June 21 by CHP Yreka at a Dollar General on a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol. Court date Aug. 21. Released the same day.
CLELAND, Russell E., 55, of Yreka, was arrested June 19 by the Sheriff’s Office at the Jefferson Inn in Yreka on misdemeanor counts of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Court date July 28. Released the same day.
CLEM, Johnny L., 60, of Hornbrook, was arrested June 19 by CHP Yreka at East Webb and 10th streets on misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or more. Court date Aug. 25. Released June 20.
COBB, Marshall L., 37, of Yreka, was booked June 18 by the Sheriff’s Office on an out-of-county misdemeanor warrant out of Napa Superior Court. Released the same day.
COLOMBERO, Jeffrey S., 44, of McCloud, was arrested June 21 by the Sheriff’s Office in McCloud on felony counts of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, making a criminal threat with intent to terrorize, and second-degree burglary. CRUMP, Shawna D., 47, of Yreka, was arrested June 19 by Yreka Police on Greenhorn Road on two felony bench warrants for failure to appear ($20,000 bail each), a felony probation violation, and misdemeanor counts of possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Court date June 22.

MANDHAN, Sumit, 27, of Fremont, Ore., was arrested June 19 by Etna Police in Fort Jones on felony counts of immigration detention, obtaining money by false pretenses, grand theft, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Bail on the conspiracy count was set at $50,000. Released June 20.
MANNINGS, Tyson S., 21, of Yreka, was arrested June 19 by Yreka Police at a Taco Bell on a misdemeanor failure-to-appear warrant, with bail of $5,000. Court date July 14. Released the same day.
