The Siskiyou County Republican Central Committee has scheduled a series of candidate forums this spring, giving voters across the county a chance to meet candidates face-to-face and ask questions ahead of the June 2026 primary election.
Three forums are planned at locations spanning the county, from Yreka to Fort Jones to Weed.
The first forum takes place Saturday, April 18 at the Yreka Greenhorn Grange, 300 Ranch Lane, Yreka. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the program begins at 4 p.m. Candidates appearing include Superior Court Judge candidate Kendall W. Hannon and Siskiyou County Auditor-Controller candidates Diane Olson and Sherry Lawson.

The Fort Jones forum is Sunday, April 19 at the Fort Jones Rec Center, 11236 Hwy. 3. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the program starts at 1:30 p.m. In addition to Hannon, Olson and Lawson, voters will have the opportunity to meet Supervisor District 5 candidates Benjamin L. Bishop and Carl S. Hammond.

The final forum of the series moves south to Weed on Saturday, May 2 at Grace Community Presbyterian Church, 1090 N. Davis Ave. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the program starts at 2 p.m. That forum features the widest candidate field, adding CA Assembly District 1 candidate Heather Hadwick and Supervisor District 3 candidate Mario Burch to the lineup.

All three forums are free and open to the public.
