NOTICE OF PROPOSED SOURCE OF AIR CONTAMINANT EMISSIONS LOCATED WITHIN 1,000 FEET OF MOUNT SHASTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
SW Maintenance, 3116 Hwy 97, Weed, CA, seeks approval for the installation of a John Deere powered Kohler 77kW diesel powered backup generator located at The Sports and Spirits Gasoline Station, 300 W Lake St in Mount Shasta. The diesel generator will only be used in emergency situations to provide electrical power to the retail store and fuel dispensing equipment.
The Siskiyou County Air Pollution Control District (District) is required by Section 42301.6 of the California Health and Safety Code to issue a public notice and to notify parents with students attending schools and all addresses located within 1,000 feet of a source, which emits any hazardous air emissions. This notice is intended to inform the public of this proposed modification to the facility.
The permit applicant has satisfied all of the District’s Rules and Regulations. Comments on this project will be received by the District for a period of 30-days from the date of this notice and will be considered prior to taking final action on the permit for the proposed installation.
