Weed High School

The Weed Cougar’s football team took on our rivals, the Mount Shasta Bears, in the Black Butte Bowl. It was a tough game, and unfortunately, we had some very bad injuries. As an update, the athletes are going to be okay โ€” and at the end of the day, thatโ€™s what matters most.

This week has been heavy, not only in our own lives, but for our country. One moment that stood out above all was at the very start of the game. Players and coaches from both sides came together on the field, taking a moment of silence to honor the tragic events our country faced and remembered this week. It was a powerful reminder of compassion and understanding.

Though we didnโ€™t bring home the trophy, we are proud of our Weed Cougars. Their camaraderie, strength, and unity as a team are things we cannot put into words.

Proud to be a Cougar.

Past weeks accomplishments

Weed Cougars win again!

Our soccer team took on Butte Valley this afternoon and came out on top with an impressive 11-2 victory! The Cougars are on a streak โ€“ letโ€™s keep the momentum going!

From Coach Ferguson: Congratulations Weed! Your Cougars are creating their identity, staring new traditions, and having fun. Weed won their home opener of the year with an 11 – 2 victory over Butte Valley. Our next home game is on Thursday versus Trinity.

Our Lady Cougars showed up strong in Red Bluff this weekend! They competed in a big schools tournament and battled their way all the way to the championship set.

Though they didnโ€™t take the top spot, finishing 2nd place is no small feat! Weโ€™re so proud of their progress, hard work, and determination.

Way to represent, Lady Cougars!
