McCloud’s 78th Annual Lumberjack Fiesta’s Papa Anderson Memorial Softball Tournament finished Sunday afternoon with Mt. Top Athletics/Slammin Salmon beating out Kyle’s Krew.

Mt. Top Athletics is composed of players from Mt. Shasta, Dunsmuir, and Redding. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) on the team is Jake Carter. All Tourney players are Jared Atterberry, Butty Rausch, Collin Waterman and Carlos Flores.
Kyle’s Krew MVP is Bobby Reed, and All Tourney players are Marshall Struble, Kody Corbell, and Bryson Parratt.
McCloud River Inn Red Bands placed 3rd with All Tourney being Aldo Severson and Nick Raccanello.
4th place is Hoots Boys with All tourney being Derek Howard.
The tournament director, Ryan Jackson, says, “We had a great tournament this year. Having fewer teams, we only used the one field and having the light towers this year we were able to play into the night. I would like to thank Solanos for donating the fertilizer for the field. The McCloud Services District did a great job preparing the field for this year’s tournament. I also want to thank Roll ‘N Rock Construction Inc for their donation of four light towers and Dan Wheeler and Highway Solutions for also donating a light tower.”
