Fahey was convicted on May 13, 2025, for:

  • Lewd acts with a child under 14 (3 years in prison).
  • Oral copulation with a person under 18 (16 months).
  • Unlawful sexual intercourse (16 months).
  • Sexual battery (2 years).
  • Misdemeanor unlawful intercourse (90 days in jail).

Charges from 2022, including forcible rape, were dismissed in a plea deal. Fahey’s early release has raised alarm due to his home’s proximity to family-friendly areas.

Under Megan’s Law, Fahey’s details are on www.meganslaw.ca.gov. His 2025 Static-99R score is 3 (moderate-low risk). He must register annually by April 6 or upon moving, with non-compliance a felony.

Residents express concern. “It’s a small town; kids play nearby.” The Sheriff’s Office urges reporting concerns to (530) 841-2900 or 9-1-1, noting harassment is illegal.
