Orleans Complex Fires Continue to Threaten Northern California Communities

Six Rivers National Forest, CA – The Orleans Complex, consisting of the Butler Fire and Red Fire, continues to pose significant threats to communities in Siskiyou County, with evacuation orders in place and deteriorating weather conditions expected to increase fire behavior over the coming days.

As of July 9, 2025, at 10:00 PM:

  • Butler Fire: 2,934 acres, 0% containment
  • Red Fire: 113 acres, 25% containment
