Steve, aka “Owl Man,” passed on Mar. 1, 2025, after a short battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 18, 1943, in Portland, Maine, to Herbert Purcell Jackson and Lois Elizabeth Libby. Steve’s family moved to California in 1948, living in various communities and finally settling in Yreka, California, where he graduated from high school.
