Montague residents gathered Saturday afternoon at Kathy’s Deli and Saige Brush Saddle Tack Repair to celebrate City Clerk Jessica Monday’s service to the community. From 12:00 to 2:30 PM, friends, colleagues, and community members braved the cold and wet weather, bringing food, drinks, and even their own fire pits to stay warm while sharing stories and appreciation for Monday’s dedication to the city.
In addition to the farewell gathering, notice of petition forms were available for those interested in signing a recall effort for Mayor Takeshi Murakami and Councilmember Jennifer Dooley. Community members engaged in discussions about the petition process while coming together to recognize Monday’s contributions.
The event served as both a heartfelt sendoff and an opportunity for civic engagement, highlighting the strong community spirit that defines Montague.
