The 70th Annual Miners Basketball Tournament will take place December 5-7, 2024, at Miner Gym (400 Preece Way, Yreka). Eight varsity boys and eight varsity girls teams will compete across two courts.
Tournament Schedule:
- Thursday-Saturday, December 5-7
- First games: Thursday at noon
- Girls Championship: Saturday, 3:00 PM
- Boys Championship: Saturday, 4:30 PM

Tournament organizers include Coordinator Sheri Young and Athletic Director Jason Freitas. Volunteer staff will manage concessions, hospitality rooms, and tournament operations.
Last year’s tournament saw Henley winning both divisions, with Anna Harper named Girls MVP and Markus McCreadie earning Boys MVP honors.
The tournament was established in 1956 and has run annually except for 2020 (COVID-19). Ten local businesses are sponsoring this year’s event.
