It’s been 8+ months of polluted clay sediment flowing down the Klamath River.
And according to the profiteers at the Klamath River Renewal Corporation (‘KRRC’), ‘all is going as planned‘. But is it really?
If ‘going as planned’ means profitability is on track and ending rural life and livelihoods is underway, then maybe it is ‘going as planned’?
Aquatic life in the River is all dead. And terrestrial lifeforms are not able to use the water for drinking.
The fallout from the smash & grab dam removal project by the Klamath River Renewal Corporation (‘KRRC’), where ‘fast is cheap and cheap is fast’, has led to what will, sooner or later, come out of the closet as the largest ecological disaster on the West Coast of America since the Exxon Valdez.
Some of the best scientific minds indicated many years ago that allowing the polluted clay sediment to enter the main-stem of the Klamath River was not a good idea!
Dr. Paul Houser was critical of allowing the sediment to enter the River, he was right.
CDM SMITH also opined in a similar manner back in 2011:
Unfortunately for the lame-stream media, who subscribe to the mantra ‘go along to get along’, the ignorantly-blind published support for KRRC’s narrative-propaganda, using the ‘color’ of tribal cultural, has resulted in some media outlets being painted into a corner that will be difficult to escape.
Now, these same dam-removal media supporters, who failed to conduct any real ‘journalism’ and research into the sales pitch by KRRC, are stuck in the same sinking boat with KRRC. The so-called Klamath River restoration is truly a disaster of epic scale and proportions.
Many rivers along the Oregon coast and inland are having record salmon returns!
As the late, highly respected fisheries scientist William T. Peterson indicated, ocean conditions are the number one factor in salmon survival and returns.
And even at the mouth of the Pacific Ocean and the Klamath River, stories of thousands of fish are rumored. These are salmon that left the Klamath River and it’s tributaries and went to sea 4-years ago, when all the dams were in place. Think about that for a minute!
However, most of these returning salmon cannot survive the polluted clay sediment that is coming down the Klamath River for the past 8-months.
And that situation may continue for years, given the massive amounts of polluted clay sediments remaining in the lakebeds that will be washed into the River for years to come.
So thanks to the reckless dam removal process, instead of having a record salmon year in the Klamath River and it’s tributaries, as we see elsewhere, we’ll have a record-breaking run of clay mud-puppies. Thank EcoTerrorists and KRRC for that.
The fish counts reported are pathetically alarming!
“The Shasta River station was operational on August 29, 2024 and 44 adult Chinook Salmon and 0 adult Coho Salmon have been observed through September 26, 2024.
The Bogus Creek station was operational on September 5, 2024 and 1 adult Chinook Salmon and 0 adult Coho Salmon have been observed through September 25, 2024.The Scott River station was operational on September 13, 2024 and 2 adult Chinook Salmon and 0 adult Coho Salmon have been observed through September 26, 2024.”
Here is the Klamath River today (Sept. 29, 2024) , at Happy Camp, CA:
That brown clay soup pretending to be a River is a polluted clay sediment flow. It’s a killer for all forms of aquatic life, especially fish.
This ARTICLE outlines the issues and the PEER-REVIEWED PUBLISHED SCIENCE that explains why Americans need to be alarmed and start voicing outrage at the cover-up of this disaster by some of the main-stream media.
