Yreka, Calif. (August 20, 2024) – The Yreka Walmart Supercenter at 1906 Fort Jones Rd celebrated its grand re-opening on Friday, August 16, unveiling a comprehensive remodel that significantly enhances the shopping experience for local customers. The celebration, which included a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Yreka Mayor Corey R. Middleton, also featured the unveiling of a new community-focused mural and the presentation of $6,500 in grants to local Yreka organizations.
During the celebration, Supercenter manager Brittany Fillis highlighted the transformed departments and newly offered services now available to the Yreka community, including:
● An expanded Online Pickup and Delivery Department: Relocated and updated for a faster, more convenient shopping experience
● A new Mother’s Room: A private, comfortable space for mothers
● Upgraded Fixtures and Signage: New store fixtures, shelving, and signage throughout the store
● A refreshed Store Layout: A fresh coat of paint inside and out of the Supercenter, along with a reorganized, more streamlined floor plan
● Expanded Departments: Additional space and products in key areas
● New community mural: A vibrant addition to the store reflecting local Yreka culture
● Remodeled Offices and New Break Room: Enhanced facilities for associates
“We’re excited to share these improvements with our community,” said Brittany Fillis, Yreka Walmart Supercenter Manager. “Our goal with this remodel was to create a shopping experience that is not only more convenient and efficient but also more enjoyable for our customers. We’re proud to offer these new features and services, including a brand-new mother’s room, that will better serve the needs of our shoppers.”
As part of Walmart’s dedication to the Yreka community, the Supercenter’s manager and associates presented $6,500 in grants to local nonprofit organizations, including:
● $1,500 to Free the Need
● $5,000 to The Yreka Police Department
The Yreka Walmart Supercenter transformation is a part of Walmart’s Signature Experience, which seeks to inspire customers and elevate their in-store experience. Upgrades at the store include:
● Activated corners: Exciting displays are featured at the corners of certain departments to pull customers in and help them touch, feel, and become a part of the space, allowing them to discover all that Walmart has to offer.
● Elevated departments: Transformed Supercenter feature displays showcasing products that are out of their boxes so customers can imagine them fitting into their daily lives.
● More space to discover: Walmart has purposefully created more space for customers to explore and discover the breadth and depth of what their local Supercenter offers them.
