Young Rodeo Competitors Showcase Skills at California Jr. High Rodeo

Red Bluff, CA – Talented young rodeo athletes from across California and southern Oregon gathered in Red Bluff on February 11th for the 10th rodeo of the California Jr. High Rodeo season. Over 100 contestants competed in events like goat tying, pole bending, and team roping, showing off the skills that could someday take them to high school state finals or even the National High School Rodeo.

Several contestants had standout performances across multiple events. Levi Andrews of Orland won the boys goat tying and teamed up with Max Cohn of Tehama to also claim first place in the team roping. On the girls side, Brylee Small of Fall River Mills topped both the breakaway roping and barrel racing, while Reese Milne of Orland placed second in girls goat tying and her sister Ellie finished third.
