Dust Settles on Exciting Junior High District 1 CHSRA Rodeo #9

Red Bluff, CA – February 11, 2024 – The Tehama County Fairgrounds in Red Bluff, CA, buzzed with excitement as young rodeo stars competed in Junior High District 1 California High School Rodeo Association Rodeo #9 on February 9th and 10th. Thrilling events and impressive performances made this rodeo one to remember.

Highlights:

  • Saddle Bronc Steer Riding: Levi Andrews (Orland) claimed victory with a score of 64.
  • Boys Breakaway Roping: Colt Bray (Montague) roped a swift 4.62 seconds, securing the top spot.
  • Boys Goat Tying: George Boles (Orland) dominated with a time of 10.47 seconds.
  • Chute Dogging: Dalton Vandeburgh (Cottonwood) wrestled his steer to the ground in an impressive 2.42 seconds.
  • Team Roping: Colt Bray and Carson Cash (both from Montague) showcased their skills with a winning time of 10.63 seconds.
  • Ribbon Roping: George Boles (Orland) and Jordyn Staley (Cottonwood) demonstrated excellent teamwork with a time of 10.55 seconds.
  • Girls Goat Tying: Avery Davis (Orland) showed her agility with a winning time of 8.27 seconds
  • Pole Bending: Alyssa Molina (Gerber) navigated the course with speed and precision, earning a time of 21.437 seconds.
  • Girls Breakaway Roping: Brooklyn Mueller (Red Bluff) impressed with a time of 6.14 seconds.
  • Barrel Racing: Jordyn Staley (Cottonwood) and her horse blazed around the barrels in a winning time of 13.751 seconds.
