Mary Louise Meyer, long time resident of Scott Valley, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2023 at Shasta View Nursing Center in Weed after a brief stay.
She was born in Zanesville, Ohio in 1927, to Addie and Robert Barr and was one of ten children. She moved to Scott Valley in 1960 when her husband David Meyer took a job with Siskiyou Telephone Company. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter #10 in Etna and served as Worthy Matron in 1984. While living in Arkansas, she also became a member of Eastern Star Ola Chapter #386.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Meyer of Etna, and her son Christopher and his wife Deborah Panos-Meyer, a brother, Bob Barr of Ohio, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
There are no services planned. She will be interred at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery in Zanesville, Ohio alongside her husband David Meyer who passed in 2017.
She will be missed.
