David Stetzel, formerly of Montague, passed away on January 20, 2023 in Medford, Oregon at the age of 89.
Dave was born on July 27, 1933 in Ward County, North Dakota to Troy David and Alberta Mae (Clapper) Stetzel. Dave grew up and was educated in Indiana, where he attained a degree from Purdue University. After his military service, Dave moved to Siskiyou County, where he worked for the U.S. Forest Service.
Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. Dave and his wife Phyllis (Warner) Stetzel were very active in the Elks Club, their RV club and they enjoyed traveling with their friends and family.
His greatest love, his wife Phyllis, passed away on September 14, 2014 after 46 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ruth Harkins and her husband Donald. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, along with numerous valued friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Yreka.
