The 2023 Fair Theme Contest Is Now Underway


10th District Board of Directors Begin 2023 Theme Contest


The 10th District Board of Directors is now accepting themes for the 2023 Siskiyou Golden Fair. The fair began in Fort Jones in 1859 and will be celebrating 164 years during the 2023 run in Yreka. The 2023 theme contest will run November 4 to December 16, 2022 and the winning entry will be selected by the board of directors. “Fair planning always starts with the theme contest and the board and staff are always excited to review and pick the new theme each year”, according to CEO Cliff Munson “It sets the whole fair in motion.”


Siskiyou County residents, clubs and organizations are eligible to enter one suggested theme for the 2023 Siskiyou Golden Fair! The theme must be 6 words or less and the name of the fair is not part of the theme. The 2023 theme needs to be unique and usable in fair advertising and promotion. Recent themes have been – Red, White and Blue in ‘22 which was cancelled, The Heart of Siskiyou, Saddle Up some Memories, and the all time favorite from 1988 Fair Time is Fun Time!

Take a minute and create a part of history and send in your entry for the 2023 Siskiyou Golden Fair Theme contest. The winning entry will receive a fair ticket pack.
