Sandy Kinkey died unexpectedly on October 20, 2022 while surrounded by her loved ones. She was 78 years old.
Sandy was born in Seattle, Washington and moved with her parents to San Jose. It ws there where she met and married the love of her life, William Kinkey. They had three children. They moved to Siskiyou County over 30 years ago and worked for Human Services in Yreka for 20 years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed spending time and playing with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She loved Nascar, football – especially the Raiders! – classic rock, feeding birds, and her cats.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and June Williams; her brother-in-law, Michael Connelly and a great-grandson, Carson Hanna.
Sandy is survived by her husband, William Kinkey; children, Larry (Rochelle) Kinkey, Leland (Kelly) Kinkey, Teri (Wes) Hanna; sisters Linda (Ron) Phillips, Pat Connelly; nieces, Danielle Batchlor and Diona Garcia; nephew, Matthew Connelly. Sandy was so proud to also be survived by her 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
She will be missed by all who loved her.
