I canceled all recurring payments with square and PayPal. With the paywall, it is much easier to have it all managed with the new payment system that also handles the paywall. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No, I am working from the email list of donors and I am grandfathering you past the paywall. Please be patient with me as I work on this transition.

So why the change? what’s going on? What was my thinking?
Well, as I got into this I wasn’t getting the results that I was envisioning, and I was having a lot of issues on the backend and difficulty working with the website software, being that most of it was overseas it was not easy to email back n forth. Morning on the west coast was quitting time for them.
In my request for help and donations, I was contacted by a small independent newspaper in southern Oregon that turned me on to the gentleman that I am using now that created the paywall project, and he strictly does small news websites. It is so nice to be able to pick up the phone, share our computer screens and work together, teaching me the new website and how to make it better and easier for you to use and readability.
This is a business and I have to run it like one. Your support is what makes it all possible, with the website in conjunction with the Facebook pages. It’s the best coverage in Siskiyou County. The website is very secure. There are no cookies, no tracking, no nothing, it’s all based in the US. I don’t sell your information. You don’t end up on an email list. Striving To Keep events local and news that is relevant.
