Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors Announces Leadership Transition for 2024

The County of Siskiyou Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce the annual transition of leadership roles within the board. Supervisor Michael N. Kobseff, representing District 3, has been elected as the new Chair of the Board of Supervisors, while Supervisor Nancy Ogren, representing District 4, accepted the position of Vice Chair for the upcoming year.

Each year, the Chair and Vice Chair roles change, ensuring that various districts within the county are equally represented.

Supervisor Kobseff brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the role of Chair. With a deep commitment to serving the community, Supervisor Kobseff aims to foster continued collaboration among board members, county departments, and the community at large.

Supervisor Ogren, stepping into the position of Vice Chair, is well-prepared to support the Chair and the entire board in their efforts to address the diverse needs of Siskiyou County residents. Supervisor Ogren’s background and passion for community engagement make her an excellent choice for this crucial leadership role.

The Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors expresses gratitude to the outgoing Chair, Supervisor Valenzuela, representing District 2, for his dedicated service during the past year. The transition of leadership positions reflects the board’s commitment to effective governance and ensuring that all districts have a voice in the decision-making process.

The community is invited to join the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors in welcoming Supervisor Kobseff as the new Chair and Supervisor Ogren as the Vice Chair. The board looks forward to another year of working collaboratively to address the challenges and opportunities facing Siskiyou County.
