Notable arrests included a McCloud man facing attempted murder and related charges following an incident involving discharging a firearm from a vehicle, and a Fort Jones man arrested on suspicion of lewd acts with a child under 14 years old. Manuel C. Avelino, 33, of Yreka, was arrested by Yreka Police Department on Dec. 9 at 3:25 a.m. at Deer Creek Greenway on suspicion of trespassing and refusing to leave property, and possession of unlawful paraphernalia (both misdemeanors). He was booked and released the same day. Court date: Jan. 27, 2026.
Dylan T. Baldini, 32, of Mt. Shasta, was arrested by California Highway Patrol – Mt. Shasta on Dec. 10 at 9:47 p.m. in Mt. Shasta on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with blood alcohol of 0.08% or higher, and possession of a narcotic controlled substance (all misdemeanors). Bail was set at $5,000. He was booked and released the same day. Court date: Feb. 10, 2026.
Ryan H. Bickley, 36, of Mt. Shasta, was arrested by Weed Police Department on Dec. 11 at 10:06 p.m. at Motel 6 in Weed on suspicion of disorderly conduct while intoxicated with drugs and alcohol (misdemeanor). He was released Dec. 12. Court date: Jan. 20, 2026.
Eric M. Carnes, 68, of Grenada, was arrested by California Highway Patrol – Yreka on Dec. 11 at 4:23 p.m. at Siskiyou Boulevard and 4th Street on suspicion of felony DUI with prior convictions, felony DUI with 0.08% blood alcohol with prior convictions, driving with a suspended or revoked license, operating a vehicle without an interlock device as a restricted driver, and a felony post-release community supervision violation. He was also booked on a failure to appear warrant on Dec. 12. He remained in custody as of the report date. Court date: Dec. 15, 2025.
Kassandra J. Corona, 28, of Yreka, was arrested by Yreka Police Department on Dec. 13 on South Main Street on multiple bench warrants for failure to appear on felony charges (three counts) and failure to appear on misdemeanor charges (five counts). Total bail was set at $85,000 ($20,000 each on felony warrants, $5,000 each on misdemeanor warrants). She remained in custody as of the report date. Court date: Dec. 16, 2025.

Trevor J. Hanson, 35, of Mt. Shasta, was arrested again by Yreka Police Department on Dec. 12 at 11:08 p.m. at the South Chevron in Yreka on suspicion of disorderly conduct while intoxicated (misdemeanor), obstructing or resisting a peace officer (misdemeanor), and felony parole violation. McConnell-Harrison, 31, of Yreka, was arrested by Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 14 at 8:01 a.m. on Front Street in Hornbrook on a failure to appear warrant (misdemeanor) and on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license and possession of a narcotic controlled substance (both misdemeanors).
