The family of Larry Duane Pettes is saddened to announce his passing on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the age of 85.
Larry was born on July 12, 1940 in Sayre, Pennsylvania to the proud parents of Arthur L. Pettes and Sarah L. Williams. When Larry was 11 yrs. old the family moved across the country to California where he spent the rest of his life.
He was a Santa Clara City firefighter for 27 years before returning to Mount Shasta and continuing on with assisting in wild fires in Northern California.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Kerie Pettes; son, Gregory D. Pettes; stepdaughter, Tracey Perotti; step son, Tim Sorensen; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Services will be held on December 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Hope Community Church, 974 Lassen Lane, Mount Shasta, CA and Interment following at Mount Shasta Memorial Park, 830 Lassen Lane, Mount Shasta, CA.
