Jolie Ann Alcouffe (Hough), beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, at the age of 74.
Jolie was born on September 30, 1951, in Mount Shasta, California, to Lonzo and Julia Hough. She grew up in Mount Shasta and remained deeply connected to her hometown throughout her life. A proud graduate of Mount Shasta High School and Chico State University, Jolie dedicated her career to education, teaching Home Economics and Physical Education at Dunsmuir High School for over 30 years.
Jolie raised her two children, Kristofer Manley and Karley Buhl (Turk), in Mount Shasta, creating a home full of love, laughter, and support. She was “Grandma Jolie” to Abigayle Manley Sammut, Lizzy Manley and Noah Manley, “Nanny Jolie” to Kadence, Kenna and Carson Buhl, and “great-grandma Jo” to Damian Manley.
Jolie enjoyed cheering on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events, and she never missed a chance to root for her favorite teams โ the Warriors, Raiders, 49ers, and San Francisco Giants. She also loved watching NASCAR and spending time surrounded by family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Ron Alcouffe and her son, Kristofer Manley.
Jolie will be remembered for her kindness, her humor, her fun-loving nature and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of care and laughter will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Family services will be held at a later date.
