Geraldine L. Bailey, 42, of Yreka, was booked September 13th by Yreka Police for possession of controlled substance with 2 or more priors (felony) at Patriot, Yreka. Also held on warrant for same charge. Bail set at $20,000. Released same day. Court date September 16th at 3:00 PM. Case #25CF07623.
Dillion S. Balabas, 29, of Yreka, was booked September 12th by SCSO for failure to appear after written promise (misdemeanor) at jail lobby. Released same day with promise to appear at Siskiyou Superior Court October 21st, 2025. Case #24CM10780.
Jake A. Carroll, 29, of Yreka, was booked September 10th by SCSO on bench warrant for failure to appear on felony charge. Turned himself in at jail lobby. Bail set at $50,000. Released same day. Court date October 22nd at 8:30 AM. Case #25CF07610.
Tristan A. Caswell, 42, of Yreka, was booked September 12th by Yreka Police for DUI alcohol and DUI alcohol/0.08 percent (both misdemeanors) at East Oberlin. Released September 13th. Court dates November 11th and 12th at 1:00 PM.
Anthony J. Comunale, 34, of West Covina, was booked September 11th by CHP for possession of marijuana over 1 oz/28.5 grams (misdemeanor) at jail lobby. Released same day for time served on case #24CM11168. Apparently 28.5 grams is the magic number – just a tad over the legal limit.
Todd R. Crist, 35, of Mt. Shasta, was booked September 13th by Mt. Shasta Police for carrying concealed dirk or dagger (felony) and evading peace officer (misdemeanor) at N Old Stage Road. Bail set at $20,000. Released same day. Court date September 16th at 3:00 PM. Running from police with a concealed blade rarely ends well.
Deborah S. Curless, 69, of Yreka, was booked September 9th by SCSO on bench warrant for failure to appear on felony charge. Bail originally set at $100,000. Released same day via telephone order per Judge Linville to appear at Siskiyou Superior Court September 11th. Case #23CF02775.
Nicholas T. Danis, 41, of Salem, Oregon, was booked September 13th by Yreka Police for DUI alcohol and DUI alcohol/0.08 percent (both misdemeanors) at S Main St/East Raymond. Released same day. Court date November 11th at 1:00 PM. Oregon visitors learning California’s DUI laws the hard way.
Bonnie L. De Rose, 47, of Yreka, was booked September 10th by Yreka Police for contempt of court for disobeying court order (misdemeanor) in Yreka. Bail set at $5,000. Released September 11th. Court date October 28th at 1:00 PM.
Christine M. Duman, 41, of Yreka, was booked September 14th by SCSO on bench warrant for failure to appear on felony charge at truck stop. Bail originally set at $20,000. Released same day via telephone order per Judge Lawrence with promise to appear at Siskiyou Superior Court October 29th at 8:30 AM. Case #25CF02146.
Trista L. Duque, 41, of Yreka, was booked September 11th by Yreka Police for trespassing to obstruct business operation (misdemeanor) at Hern St. Released same day with promise to appear at Siskiyou Superior Court October 21st at 1:00 PM.
Benjamin C. Edwards, 55, of Dunsmuir, was booked September 13th by SCSO on bench warrant from Shasta County Sheriff for failure to appear on felony charge. Released same day. Court date September 16th at 3:00 PM. Case #CRF20-0003152. Warrants have a way of following you across county lines.
Jesse J. Faulkner, 20, of Kuna, Idaho, was booked September 14th by CHP for exhibiting/drawing firearm in presence of motor vehicle occupant (felony), carrying concealed weapon in vehicle (misdemeanor), and carrying loaded firearm in public place (misdemeanor) at I-5 N/B at Abrams Lake. Bail set at $20,000. Released same day. Court date September 17th at 3:00 PM. Idaho gun laws don’t apply on California interstates.
Destiny R. Ferguson, 24, of Fort Jones, was booked September 13th by CHP for DUI alcohol and DUI alcohol/0.08 percent (both misdemeanors) at S. Fork St. Released same day. Young enough to learn?
Gregorio Francisco Jose, 34, of Woodland, was booked September 8th by CHP for DUI alcohol, DUI alcohol/0.08 percent, and unlawful to drive unless licensed (all misdemeanors) at S/B I-5 Dunsmuir. Released same day. Court date November 11th at 1:00 PM. Triple violation of traffic laws in one stop.
Troy S. Gardner, 40, of Yreka, was booked September 13th by Yreka Police on multiple warrants for failure to appear after written promise and failure to appear on written promise (all misdemeanors) at 4-H and Campus Dr. Released same day. Total bail $20,000 across multiple cases. Court date October 21st at 1:00 PM. Sometimes missed court dates pile up like overdue library books.
Krystal R. Getz, 27, of Hornbrook, was booked September 12th by CHP for DUI alcohol and DUI alcohol/0.08 percent (both misdemeanors) at I-5 S/B Ag Station. Released same day. Court date November 18th at 1:00 PM.
Anthony L. Graves, 51, of Mt. Shasta, was booked September 12th by Yreka Police on arrest warrant for threatening crime with intent to terrorize (felony), vandalism to deface property (felony), and contempt of court for violating protective order (misdemeanor) at Campus at Moonlit Oaks. Released same day. Court date September 24th at 8:30 AM. Case #25CF07928.
Jason M. Harlow, 31, of Montague, was booked September 9th by SCSO for assault with firearm on person (felony) and threatening crime with intent to terrorize (felony) at Ager Rd. Bail set at $20,000. Released September 10th. Court date September 23rd at 1:30 PM. Case #25CF10612. Firearms and threats make for serious felony charges.
Jordan L. Henley, 23, of Maple Valley, Washington, was booked September 10th by SCSO for evading peace officer with wanton disregard for safety (felony) at jail lobby. Released same day. Case #24CF07380. Long drive from Washington to end up in Siskiyou County jail.
Jonathan B. Hill-Hawkins, 38, of Hawkinsville, was booked September 8th by Yreka Police for driving when privileges suspended/revoked, possession of controlled substance (misdemeanors), and multiple failure to appear warrants totaling $15,000 bail at Lane St. Released September 9th. Court date October 21st at 1:00 PM. One traffic stop uncovered multiple legal issues again.
Artyom E. Jarema, 26, of Etna, was booked September 13th by CHP for inflicting corporal injury on spouse/cohabitant/dating relationship (felony) at SR3 N/O. Bail set at $50,000. Still in custody as of report date. Court date September 16th at 3:00 PM. Domestic violence charges carry serious consequences.
Gwenna C. Kelly, 36, of Yreka, was booked September 12th by SCSO on multiple warrants including bench warrant/failure to appear on felony charges and failure to appear after written promise (spanning multiple cases from 2016-2025) at Josephina’s. Released same day per court order to appear at Siskiyou Superior Court September 15th at 3:00 PM. Cases spanning nearly a decade finally caught up.
Daniel S. Killion, 47, of Yreka, was booked September 9th by Yreka Police for disorderly conduct while intoxicated with drug and alcohol, and disorderly conduct for loitering on private property (both misdemeanors) at Main St/Lane St. Released same day. Court date October 21st at 1:00 PM. Sometimes downtown intersections become all too interesting.
Jeffrey J. Lowry, 52, of Weed, was booked September 8th by Probation for probation violation/rearrest (felony) and violation of court order for domestic violence (misdemeanor). Bail set at $20,000 each. Released September 10th. Court date September 12th at 3:00 PM. Cases #24CF01501 and #25CF10614.
Daniel L. Mercer, 64, of Yreka, was booked September 10th by SCSO for failure to appear after written promise (misdemeanor) at jail lobby. Released same day with promise to appear at Siskiyou Superior Court October 7th at 1:00 PM. Case #24CM11273. Note: Duplicate DUI charges in report marked as “entered in error.”
Nashun R. Miner, 42, of Weed, was booked September 9th by Yreka Police for trespassing to obstruct business operation and multiple failure to appear warrants at 777 Casino Way. Released same day. Multiple bail amounts totaling $7,000. Court date October 21st at 1:00 PM. Casino luck ran out at the wrong moment.
Brandon W. Newton, 48, of Yreka, was booked September 10th by Yreka Police for robbery (felony) and exhibiting deadly weapon other than firearm (misdemeanor) at S Main St. Bail set at $100,000. Still in custody as of report date. Court date September 23rd at 1:30 PM. Case #25CF10926.
Donald L. Pence II, 38, of Hornbrook, was booked September 9th by Yreka Police for disorderly conduct while intoxicated, obstructing/resisting peace officer, and tampering with vehicle (all misdemeanors) at Jefferson Inn. Released same day. Court date October 21st at 1:00 PM. The Jefferson Inn continues to be an eventful location.
Nina A. Perreira, 36, of Yreka, was booked September 8th by CHP for disorderly conduct while intoxicated with drug and alcohol (misdemeanor) at Main St north of Bruce. Released same day. Court date October 21st at 1:00 PM.
Damien T. Petsch, 18, of Weed, was booked September 13th by Weed Police for attempted murder, assault with deadly weapon not firearm, battery on peace officer with injury, and child abuse with possible great bodily injury/death (all felonies) at Bles St/E. Lake St. Still in custody as of report date. Court date September 17th at 5:54 PM. Extremely serious charges for someone barely an adult.
Ryan A. Poling, 48, of Mt. Shasta, was booked September 9th by Mt. Shasta Police for violation of parole (felony) at Morgan Way. No bail. Released same day. Court date September 11th at 3:00 PM. Parole number #2509338560.
Aaron J. Polk, 42, of Mt. Shasta, was booked September 10th by SCSO for false imprisonment (felony) and battery on spouse/ex-spouse/date (misdemeanor) at Summit Dr, Mt. Shasta. Bail set at $20,000. Released September 12th per court order to appear at Siskiyou Superior Court October 8th at 8:30 AM with pre-trial release. Domestic disputes that escalate to imprisonment charges.
Jesse M. Reyes Jr., 48, of Etna, was booked September 14th by SCSO on warrants for assault with force with possible great bodily injury and battery (both felonies) at SCSO Sally Port. Released same day. Court date September 17th at 3:00 PM. Case #23CF09855.
Alonso C. Rodriguez, 29, of Montague, was booked September 12th by SCSO for disorderly conduct while intoxicated (misdemeanor) and failure to appear after written promise (misdemeanor) at 13th n Julian. Released September 13th. Court date October 21st at 1:00 PM. Case #25CM02716.
Joseph L. Rusting, 62, of McCloud, was booked September 13th by SCSO for DUI any drug (misdemeanor) at Colomboro/Broadway Ave. Bail set at $5,000. Released same day. Court date November 18th at 1:00 PM.
Jason A. Sanchez, 31, of Mt. Shasta, was booked September 8th by SCSO on warrant for assault with force with possible great bodily injury (felony) at Mt Shasta Blv/Chestnut. Bail set at $25,000. Released same day. Court date September 10th at 3:00 PM. Case #24CF14861.
Chanphansy Sek, 42, of Weed, was booked September 14th by SCSO for possession of controlled substance, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, and addict driving vehicle (all misdemeanors) at Big Springs. Released same day. Court date October 28th at 1:00 PM. Triple threat of drug-related driving violations.
Elizabeth A. Sherman, 38, of Yreka, was booked September 14th by Yreka Police for DUI alcohol and DUI alcohol/0.08 percent (both misdemeanors) at S.Oregon/Middle St. Released same day. Court date November 18th at 1:00 PM.
John V. Smith Jr., 57, of Yreka, was booked September 9th by Yreka Police for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and obstructing/resisting peace officer (both misdemeanors) at Jefferson Inn. Released same day with promise to appear at Siskiyou Superior Court October 21st at 1:00 PM. The Jefferson Inn maintaining its reputation as a hotspot for evening entertainment.
Andrew D. Sparks, 21, of Fort Jones, was booked September 10th by Etna Police on bench warrant for failure to appear on felony charge. Bail set at $20,000. Released September 12th. Court date September 12th at 3:00 PM. Case #23CF13414.
Don W. Watson, 60, of Yreka, was booked September 9th by District Attorney’s office on multiple warrants for failure to appear after written promise and bench warrant/failure to appear on felony charges spanning cases from 2016-2025. Multiple bail amounts totaling $40,000. Still in custody as of report date. Court date October 2nd at 8:30 AM. Years of missed court appearances finally converging into one big reckoning.
40 individuals processed through Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office detention facility last week. Each booking represents a moment where life took an unexpected turn – some minor detours, others major course corrections.
