Yreka, Ca- On May 27, 2025, at approximately 2 P.M., a CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officer responded to a vegetation fire near Blue Gill Dr in Hornbrook, CA. Following an investigation, it was determined that an unsafe campfire led to the cause of the fire. A 22-year-old male suspect was arrested and transported to Siskiyou County Jail, where he was booked on the following charges:
- CALIFORNIA PENALCODE: 452(c) – Felony
- HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE: 13000 – Misdemeanor
- HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE: 13001 – Mis demeanor
CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers work diligently to investigate all fires and apprehend those suspected of unlawfully causing fires.
