CITY OF DUNSMUIR NOTICE OF
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 21, 2026, the City Council of the City of Dunsmuir adopted the following ordinances:
Ordinance No. 583 – An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Dunsmuir amending Dunsmuir Municipal Code Chapters 17.08 and 17.108 to allow commercial cannabis consumption lounges within cannabis dispensaries, subject to approval of a Conditional Use Permit. The ordinance permits cannabis lounges as an accessory use to dispensaries within specified zoning districts, establishes applicable land use regulations, and limits cannabis lounges to approved dispensary locations within the City.

Ordinance No. 584 – An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Dunsmuir repealing and replacing Chapter 5.05 of Title 5 of the Dunsmuir Municipal Code relating to regulation of commercial cannabis activities. The ordinance updates and consolidates regulations governing commercial cannabis businesses, including permitting requirements, operational standards, security requirements, permit renewals and assignments, and regulations governing cannabis consumption lounges within the City.

Ordinance No. 585 – An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Dunsmuir amending Title 17 of the Dunsmuir Municipal Code to allow short-term rentals as permitted uses in zoning districts that allow residential uses and to reduce parking requirements for short-term rentals in the Town Center (T-C) and Mixed Use 3 (MU-3) zoning districts. The ordinance amends multiple zoning code sections relating to permitted and accessory uses and modifies operational parking standards for short-term rentals.
