74 year old Lake Shastina resident, Frankie Lee Helton, passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2026. He was a 20-year resident of Siskiyou County who enjoyed the peace, tranquility, and outdoor recreation that the area offered.
Frankie was born March 23, 1951 to Elmer and Helen Helton in Kentucky. As a child, his mother remarried to a military man, Wilfred Kim Kam, whom he was raised by. As a family, Frankie spent time at different bases, most notably in Germany, where he spent several of his high school years. After returning stateside, Frankie and his family settled in the Monterey area, where Frankie graduated from Seaside High School.
