Board of Supervisors: Vacancies on Various Special Districts

Laura Bynum, Clerk of The Board of Supervisors announces that there are scheduled vacancies on various Special Districts, with full terms expiring January 5, 2026. It is anticipated that the Board of Supervisors will make appointments to these Special Districts on January 6, 2026. The Special Districts and their associated vacancies are as follows:

  • Etna Cemetery District – three vacancies
  • Fort Jones Cemetery District โ€“ one vacancy
  • Happy Camp Cemetery District โ€“ three vacancies
  • Henley-Hornbrook Cemetery District โ€“ two vacancies Lakeview Cemetery District โ€“ two vacancies
  • Picard Cemetery District โ€“ two vacancies
  • Shasta Valley Cemetery District โ€“ two vacancies

Members of these Special Districts shall be registered voters living within the respective districtsโ€™ boundaries. Members are required to file Form 700, Statement of Economic Interest. For more information on this requirement, the Countyโ€™s Conflict of Interest Code is available online on the County Clerkโ€™s page at https://www.co.siskiyou.ca.us/clerk/page/conflict-interest. If you are interested in serving on a listed Special District, please submit a letter of interest to the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors c/o Siskiyou County Clerk to 311 Fourth Street, Room 201, Yreka, CA 96097, no later than December 19, 2025.
