MAJOR CRIMES

Money Laundering, Drug Distribution Charges

Christopher Nelson Brophy, 35, of Weed, was booked on October 9 following transfer from Los Angeles County Jail on a no-bail arrest warrant. Brophy faces 18 counts of money laundering, conspiracy to commit a crime, and sale/transport of marijuana. He is scheduled to appear in Siskiyou Superior Court on October 13.

Weapons, Drug Possession Charges

David Scott Jauregui, 32, of Weed, was arrested early morning October 9 on South Mt. Shasta Boulevard by California Highway Patrol. Jauregui faces multiple felony charges including illegal possession of an assault weapon, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, felon in possession of a firearm, and prohibited person possessing ammunition. He also faces a DUI charge and a Post Release Community Supervision violation.

Narcotics and Child Endangerment

Desirey Nicole Horn, 22, of Dorris, was arrested October 9 at a Portland Street address on multiple felony charges including possession for sale of narcotics, possession of stolen property, possession of a silencer, and child abuse with possibility of great bodily injury. Bail was set at $25,000 by Judge Bicego. She was released October 10.

Domestic Violence, Kidnapping

Anthony Ian Layne, 25, of Dorris, was arrested by Tulelake Police early morning October 8 on charges of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant and false imprisonment, both felonies. Bail was set at $25,000 for the false imprisonment charge.

Jessee Wayne Wagnon, 35, of Yreka, was booked October 6 on warrant charges including kidnapping, aggravated corporal injury to a spouse, assault with a deadly weapon, and child abuse with possible great bodily injury. Bail was set at $70,000. An additional PRCS violation charge was added October 7.


DUI ARRESTS

The following individuals were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence during the reporting period:

  • Caitlin Ashley Chappelle, 40, Fort Jones โ€“ October 11, cited and released same day
  • Bryan Wayne Colegrove Jr., 68, Happy Camp โ€“ October 11/12, cited and released
  • Davis Reed Spier, 26, Whitehouse, TX โ€“ October 7, cited and released same day
  • Gregory Bruce Gallardo, 63, Yreka โ€“ October 9, cited and released same day
  • Frank Steven Rizzardo, 70, Montague โ€“ October 12, cited and released same day
  • James Carter Sanderson, 28, Montague โ€“ October 11, cited and released same day
  • Christopher Marcus Marden, 35, Fort Jones โ€“ October 11, multiple charges including DUI and resisting arrest, cited and released same day
  • Leticia Marie Preber, 42, Yreka โ€“ October 10, cited and released October 11
  • Adam Michael Ochoa, 46, Yreka โ€“ October 10, charges including DUI while an addict and drug possession, cited and released October 11
  • Babe Charles Snapp, 43, Hamburg โ€“ October 11, including DUI while driving commercial vehicle, cited and released October 12
  • Patrick Ryan Talada, 37, Carterville, IL โ€“ October 7, multiple charges including DUI, vandalism, and resisting arrest, cited and released same day

NARCOTICS VIOLATIONS

John Russell Craig, 31, Montague, was arrested October 7 in Weed for possession of a narcotic controlled substance. He was also served with two failure to appear warrants with combined bail of $70,000. Released October 8 with citation to Shasta County.

James Robert Franklin, 55, Yreka, was arrested October 10 by Yreka Police on charges of trespassing and possession of a narcotic controlled substance. Released same day.

Oleksandr Zakharov, 42, North Highlands, was arrested October 11 at the Baymont Inn in Yreka for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and resisting arrest. He was cited and released the same day.


PUBLIC INTOXICATION

Multiple individuals were arrested for public intoxication/disorderly conduct during the week:

  • Douglas Louis Green, 44, Yreka โ€“ October 10, also charged with resisting arrest
  • Nikolay Borisovich Kalachik, 28, Citrus Heights โ€“ October 10/11, also charged with resisting arrest
  • Kimber Dawn Neely, 36, Greenview โ€“ October 11/12
  • Skylor Nelson, 27, Escalon โ€“ October 10/11
  • Douglas Glenn Tedford, 60, Yreka โ€“ October 7, also served with multiple failure to appear warrants totaling $85,000 in bail

Kevin Matthew Stillman, 40, Yreka, was booked twice during the week โ€“ October 7 for failure to appear warrants and October 10 for public intoxication and battery on a spouse.


THEFT AND PROPERTY CRIMES

Leilani Marie McDonald, 26, formerly of Yreka, now Milwaukie, OR, appeared October 8 in Siskiyou County Court on multiple remand orders spanning several years. Charges include carrying a concealed dagger, grand theft, failure to appear on felony charges, vehicle theft, possession of paraphernalia, and battery. Total bail amounts exceeded $60,000 across multiple dockets.

Carlos Silberio-Hernandez, 35, was arrested October 11 on Interstate 5 by CHP for taking a vehicle without owner’s consent and possessing a stolen vehicle.


PROBATION/PAROLE VIOLATIONS

Gregg Alan Sayers, 34, Mt. Shasta, was arrested October 8 by Parole for felony parole violation. He was released same day pending court appearance.

Colton Troy Simmons Obrian, 25, Weed, was arrested October 9 by Weed Police on a no-bail California Parole warrant.

Ryan William Nicholas, 31, Orofino, CA, was picked up October 8 from Douglas County on multiple probation violations and a charge of willful exposure to HIV.

Michael Scott Hoyt, 44, Montague, was arrested October 12 at Chevron Central for resisting arrest and probation violation.

Stephanie Tara Lujan, 41, Yreka, was arrested October 6 for being under the influence, failure to report for work release program, and probation violation. Released October 8.


WARRANT ARRESTS

Kristen Teresa Maddox, 33, Central Point, OR, was picked up October 9 from Jackson County Jail on seven warrants with combined bail of $62,000. Charges span from 2020-2024 and include multiple failure to appear violations on both felony and misdemeanor charges.

Zachary James Grant Markes, 27, Yreka, was arrested October 6 at Rite Aid on a $1,000 failure to appear warrant.

Rhea Suzanne Dixon, 37, Montague, turned herself in October 8 at the jail lobby for a $5,000 failure to appear warrant. She was cited out same day.

Ahron Arthur Verrinder, 52, Weed, was arrested October 11 by Weed Police on a Lassen County Sheriff’s Office misdemeanor failure to appear warrant.


OTHER INCIDENTS

Kiarra Adeline Davidson, 25, Montague, was arrested October 11 by Yreka Police for trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, and carrying a switchblade knife. She was cited and released same day.


All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges listed are allegations at the time of booking.
