The Dillon Fire remains at 11,950 acres and 78 percent contained. Containment lines are holding across all divisions as firefighters continue patrol and mop-up on the eastern edge, where no heat has been detected near the line.
Suppression repair is now the primary effort, with equipment backhaul completed in the Ti Bar area and along southern dozer lines. On the north side, crews are addressing isolated hot spots near Coffee Can Creek and scouting opportunities to go direct along the northern edge, with all firelines continuing to hold firm.
Hot and dry weather has returned today, with temperatures climbing into the 90s and relative humidity falling below 20 percent. The warming trend is expected to intensify Tuesday, with highs reaching the mid to upper 90s, 8 to 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.
Winds remain generally light and variable, though northeast drainage winds could gust up to 25 miles an hour tonight and again Wednesday night before easing by sunrise.
The hot, dry pattern is forecast to persist through much of the week. While suppression repair is the primary focus, firefighters remain vigilant in monitoring for and responding to any new fire activity.
