Weed / COS – The College of the Siskiyous Art Department will be participating in the Siskiyou County Arts Council’s X Days, a countywide open studio event.
Siskiyou X Days will highlight the vibrancy of arts activities in the county while uplifting historically excluded artists and untapped nodes of soft power. Connecting and supporting artists will lay the foundation to develop stronger economic and cultural opportunities for Siskiyou. X Days is intended to drive arts and culture tourism through communities, particularly communities off of I-5.
The COS Art Department is participating with other artists and arts spaces in Weed on November 1. The studios in McCloud Hall at the Weed Campus will be open for the public to engage with student artists and see their work from 2 to 6 pm. Additionally, the COS Art Gallery has an exhibition of student work in watercolors. The gallery is open from 9 am to 5 pm and is located in the Learning Resources Center (Building 2).
