ย Save the Date! February 21-23, 2024 for the Scott Watershed Informational Forum (SWIF)

This year, SWIF will take place at the Towers in Fort Jones, California. Here’s the lineup for this action-packed, 3-day event:
February 21st: SCOTT RIVER FIELD TOURS (9:00am – 4:00pm) – Projects that will be featured on the tour will consist of a groundwater recharge project, work happening the Scott River Tailings, forest health projects including thinning and the use of prescribed fire, and more.
February 21st: SISKIYOU WATER DEDICATION WORKSHOP (5:00pm – 7:00pm) – The Salmonid Restoration Federation, Trout Unlimited, and Scott River Watershed Council will host a Water Dedication Transaction workshop designed for landowners, practitioners, and agency staff to learn more about appropriative and riparian water rights, different forms of water transactions winter water storage for use in the summer, and the permitting pathways for various types of water projects both domestic and agricultural.
February 22nd: Scott Watershed Informational Forum (SWIF) 8:00am – 5:00pm)โ A full day of presentations ranging from beaver to Cascade frogs, agricultural, invasive weeds, soil health, a comprehensive Scott River Recovery Action Plan, forest health including mountain meadows and fire, and more.
February 22nd: SWIF Social Hour (5:00pm – 6:00pm)– Unpack an action-packed event with a friendly and fun social hour.
