Michael Perry, who served for 12 years as Siskiyou County Librarian and Siskiyou County Museum Director, has taken a new position with the Multnomah Library System. All eleven branches of the Siskiyou County Library System will miss Michael’s hard work and support. Michael made many positive changes in the county’s library system, streamlining and updating protocols, software and outreach. We wish Michael the best of luck in his new adventure.
Teresa Johnson, who has been in library work for 33 years, was immediately selected to become Library Director for the Siskiyou County Library system. Branch libraries are delighted with Teresa’s promotion. She is familiar with the library’s collections, services and staff. She has been involved in outreach program, expanding services to outlying schools and attending county events and farmers’ markets in an effort to make people aware of the library’s multitude of free services.
