Siskiyou County teen charged with murder & drug offenses

Patience Ann Thompson, of Montague, California, was arrested on Feb. 29, 2024 and charged with murder, possession of narcotics for sale, and transportation/sale of a controlled substance, according to a Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Thompson, 18, was booked into the Siskiyou County Jail by Officer Rance Zediker. The arrest took place at 3:46 p.m. in Yreka, California. The booking report lists the charges against Thompson as:

  • Murder (California Penal Code 187(a)), a felony
  • Possession for sale of narcotics/controlled substances (Health and Safety Code 11351), a felony
  • Transportation/sale of a narcotic/controlled substance (Health and Safety Code 11352(a)), a felony

Thompson is described as a white female, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 105 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Her occupation is listed as “none.”

  1. She is not a teen. She’s a adult and this is absolutely insanely unacceptable to allow this girl out on the street even to go home after what she is done. And not only to this young lady that she took her life. But she has overdosed many others selling drugs to teenagers as an adult. She definitely deserves every ounce of time. That is possible to give her a chance to maybe think things through and realize what she’s done is unacceptable, but I mean you can never change evil
