Siskiyou Livestock Pass Training
⚠️Attention all Ranchers and Livestock Owners!⚠️
It’s that time of year again – fire season is approaching, and now is the time to prepare. If you are commercial rancher and do not yet have a Livestock Pass for fire season, you’re in luck: the 2025 Livestock Pass training will take place this Wednesday, March 5, from 10am-2pm, at CAL FIRE Headquarters in Yreka.
What is a Livestock Pass?
The Livestock Pass is a permit issued to approved commercial livestock operators before a disaster strikes. The goal of this program is to identify commercial livestock operators (≥50 head of livestock or ≥50 beehives) to emergency responders during a disaster so that pass holders may be granted entrance to evacuation zones to feed, water and care for livestock sheltering-in-place. However, you can only obtain a Livestock Pass by attending this training.
Register for the pass training here: https://bit.ly/LivestockPass2025
If you have difficulty registering online, call (530) 842-2711
If you already have a Pass, you do not need to attend the 4-hour training again. However, you do need to fulfill your <1 hour annual training requirement by Feb. 28th, 2025. An email with further instructions will be sent on Feb. 3, 2025. #siskiyoucounty #SiskiyouSheriff #livestockpass #FireSeason2025 #fireready Public · Hosted by Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office
