The photos of Richard Doerr capture brilliant skies, luminous landscapes, and bold lighting.  Born and raised in Southern Illinois, Richard traveled to various locations around the United States as a part of his career with General Electric. When he was transferred to the West Coast, he fell in love with the mountains and nature.  All along, he immersed himself in photographing scenes that inspired him.  He lived on the San Francisco Bay on a sailboat and then on a houseboat and photographed the dramatic scenery that the bay offered. He eventually settled in Scott Valley, building a home and photographing the beauty of the valley with its changes in seasons and captivating morning and evening skies.  Richard will show select photos from the thousands he has taken over the years, including many taken in Scott Valley.”
